The eligibility criteria vary for the various departments and candidates have to go through this before filling the application form.
For IMA and OTA: Degree from a recognized university- Age limit 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: Degree in engineering – Age limit 19-22 years
For Air force Academy: Degree from a recognized university with physics and mathematics in 10+2 or a bachelors’ in engineering – Age limit 19-23 years

CDS Application Form


Candidates are required to apply CDS Exam (1) 2013 using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions for filling up the online applications are available in the official website. It is advisable to fill one single application to avoid duplication.
Applicants are required to pay e examination fee of Rs 200(Rupees Two Hundred) either by remitting the money at any branches of SBI or by using net banking facility. Candidates are requested to apply well in advance without waiting for the last date of submission to avoid the last minute hassles.

CDS Examination centers
CDS examination is conducted at various centers throughout the country. Candidates have to select their examination center while filling in the application form. The exam centers for CDS exam and the date of the examination are liable to changed at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission. CDS Exam Details 2013



CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year (February and August). CDS Exam (1), 2013 will be held on 17th Feb 2013 and the last day for receipt of applications is 10th December 2012. CDS Exam (2) 2013 will be held on 8th September 2013 and the last date for receipt of applications is 24th June 2013. CDS or the combined Defence services examination is the gateway to the most rewarding careers in the defence forces. Civil Services (Preliminary) 2013 will be conducted on 19th May 2013 and the last date for submission of the application is 4th March 2013. CLAT 2013 Latest Examination Pattern!




CLAT 2013 has been slightly revamped. Find below the revised pattern for CLAT 2013 which will be followed by the Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur. The examination carries 200 marks and consists of 200 multiple choice questions and the time duration to complete the test is 2 hours.

CLAT Exam Syllabus


Subject areas with weightage:
1) General Knowledge/Current affairs: This section will test students on their knowledge on current affairs. This will mainly include the matters featured in the mainstream media in the present year. This section carries 50 marks.
2) Mathematics: This section deals with elementary mathematics and this includes maths covered in class 10th.This section carries 20 marks.
3) Logical reasoning: This section is mainly to identify candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and illegal arguments. This includes logical sequences, analogies and syllogisms. Logical Reasoning carries 40 marks.
4) Legal Aptitude: This section tests candidates on prior knowledge of law and legal concepts. Questions will be framed with the help of legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which proposition has to be applied. This section carries 50 marks.
5) English including comprehension: This section mainly deals with English based comprehension passages and grammar. This section carries 40 marks.

CLAT Exam 2013 Updates

CLAT or the Common Law admission test is conducted by 14 national law universities/institutes for admission to the graduate and post graduate degree courses in law. CLAT 2013 will be conducted by the Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur. Statistics estimates approximately thirty thousand students will be seated in the 14 best law institutes. CLAT 2013 admissions process would start in Jan 2013 and candidates can use both online and offline mode to complete the procedure. CLAT 2012 was conducted on May 13th and likely the second Sunday in May would be the schedule for CAT 2013. 

MHT-CET versus NEET 2013 Updates!




The Medical Council of India has declared that there will be one single national eligibility cum entrance test from academic year 2013- 2014 for all Medical and Dental admissions. The State Government of Maharashtra has accepted this decision and will accept NEET scores for admission to the entire Medical and dental colleges in State of Maharashtra. Admission to the Ayurveda, Unani, nursing, homeopathy and other courses will be done as per the state merit list of the NEET-2013. MHT-CET examination which was conducted by the directorate since last 13 years will not be conducted from the academic year 2013-2014 onwards.
NEET or the National Eligibility Cum entrance test (UG) will be governed by the rules and regulations specifies by the Medical Council of India and the Government of India. Candidates can apply for NEET -2013 online. There is no other option to complete the application process.

Examination pattern for NEET 2013
The entrance examination consists of one single paper containing 180 questions which are objective type with four multiple choices. The questions are from physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) and duration of this examination is 3 hours. Candidates can opt for question papers either in English or Hindi and the option should be exercised while filling the application form.
Last date for submission of the application forms for NEET 2013 is 31.12.2012 and details on filling the application form are available in the official website www.cbseneet.nic.in. Candidates can choose their examination centers and the list of centers in also available in the official website.
Core Syllabus for National Eligibility-Cum entrance test (NEET) for admission to MBBA Courses:
After review of various state syllabi, CBSE, NCERT and CONSE the medical council of India (MCI) has published the syllabus followed for NEET 2013. This is to establish uniformity across the country keeping in view the relevance of different areas of medical education.
Physics: This subject covers topics both from class eleven and class twelve. Some of the important concepts covered are Physical world and measurement, laws of motion, gravitation, Thermodynamics, Electro statistics and Current electricity.
Chemistry: Some of the important concepts covered under chemistry are structure of Atom, equilibrium. Coordination compounds, Chemical Kinetics and Electrochemistry.
Biology: This includes concepts both from botany and zoology. Some important concepts include Diversity in living world, reproduction, cell structure and functioning, ecology and environment, etc.

NEET 2013 Results
The Central Board of Secondary education will conduct NEET 2013 examination, evaluate the answer sheets and declare the result by 2nd week of June, 2013 and this will be published in the official website www.cbseneet.nic.in.
