undergraduate subjects in Engineering Technology. GATE is jointly organized by
the Indian Institute of Science and the seven IITs (namely, IIT Bombay, IIT
Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on
the behalf of National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher
Education, and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

and communication engineering is an engineering discipline where non-linear and
active electrical components – electron tubes, semiconductor devices,
transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic
circuits, devices and systems.
The term denotes a broad engineering field that
covers important subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics,

schemes-amplitude, phase and frequency shift keying schemes (ASK, PSK, FSK),
matched filter receivers, bandwidth consideration and probability of error
calculations for these schemes, GSM, TDMA.
