Staff Selection Commission undertakes a combined all India open examination for the recruitment of Junior Translators (CSOLs)/ Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices).

The examination contains 2 parts, PART-I is a written Exam that carries 400 marks. This paper would test language and literature knowledge of graduation level in both Hindi and English. The hold on grammar and vocabulary is must to ace the exam. The comprehension passages are also tested in which translation of an English passage need to be written in Hindi and vice-versa. Whereas, PART-II is a Personality Test round in which Interview is taken carrying 100 Marks.

Council of Scientific & Industrial Research conducts Joint CSIR-UGC NET ALONG with University Grants Commission (UGC) to decide the eligibility of Indian Nationals either to award them for Junior Research Fellowship or to recruit lecturers nationwide.
